Are you new to the world of cryptocurrencies and looking to transfer your assets from Binance to your Metamask wallet? You’ve come to the right place! In this article, I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, making it easy for you to send your tokens securely.
How to Transfer From Binance to Metamask
Transferring your cryptocurrencies from Binance to Metamask is a simple process. Just follow these 5 easy steps:
-
Select the appropriate network on your Metamask wallet: Start by ensuring that you’ve chosen the correct network on your Metamask wallet. You can connect Metamask to various blockchain networks, including Polygon, Fantom, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Cronos, Harmony ONE, Velas, HECO, and xDAI.
-
Copy the wallet address from your Metamask wallet: Once you’ve selected the network, copy the deposit address from your Metamask wallet. This address will be used to receive your cryptocurrencies.
-
Select the cryptocurrency that you wish to withdraw from Binance: Go to the “Wallet” section on Binance’s platform and search for the cryptocurrency you want to transfer. Then, click on “Withdraw.”
-
Enter the transaction details and withdraw the cryptocurrency using your preferred network: Paste the deposit address from Metamask on Binance’s withdrawal page. Binance will show you the available networks for withdrawal, such as BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), Ethereum (ERC20), and Arbitrum. Choose the network that matches your requirements.
-
Receive the cryptocurrency in your Metamask wallet: Once you’ve initiated the transfer, you’ll receive the cryptocurrency in your Metamask wallet. The time taken for the transfer depends on the network’s congestion.
In this example, I’ll demonstrate how to send ETH from Binance to Metamask. However, these steps can be applied to other cryptocurrencies too.
Note: Remember that you cannot send BTC to your Metamask wallet.
Select the Appropriate Network on Your Metamask Wallet
To ensure a successful transfer, you need to choose the correct network on your Metamask wallet. The default network is the Ethereum Mainnet, but you can also connect Metamask to other blockchain networks like Polygon, Fantom, and Binance Smart Chain.
If you find it challenging to remember long deposit addresses, you can simplify them using Unstoppable Domains. With Unstoppable Domains, you can send crypto to a .crypto or .wallet address, making it easier to transfer cryptocurrencies between platforms.
Copy the Wallet Address from Your Metamask Wallet
After selecting the appropriate network on Metamask, you’ll need to copy the deposit address from your wallet. This address remains the same across all EVM-compatible networks.
However, you’ll still need to add specific networks to your Metamask wallet to view your cryptocurrencies on those networks.
Select the Cryptocurrency You Wish to Withdraw from Binance
Once you’ve copied the address from Metamask, log in to Binance and navigate to the “Wallet” and “Fiat/Spot” sections. Find the cryptocurrency you want to transfer and click on “Withdraw.”
Enter the Transaction Details and Withdraw the Cryptocurrency Using Your Preferred Network
Next, enter the transaction details on Binance’s withdrawal page. You’ll be presented with the available networks for withdrawal, such as BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), Ethereum (ERC20), and Arbitrum. Select the network that matches your desired outcome.
Please note that you can’t send ETH via the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2), as this network is not supported on Metamask. Ensure you select the correct network to send your tokens successfully.
The BEP20 version of Ethereum is also known as Binance-Peg Ethereum. For more information about this network, you can refer to the official documentation.
Receive the Cryptocurrency in Your Metamask Wallet
Once you’ve initiated the transfer, you’ll soon receive your ETH in your Metamask wallet. The transfer time may vary depending on the network’s congestion. Sit back and wait for your tokens to arrive.
